LPDDR DRAM MH BE Product Engineer

Role Summary

Engineer LPDDR (low-power DRAM) products for mobile, automotive, and data center applications. The role is based in Taichung Fab 16 and focuses on validation, test development, failure analysis, yield improvement, and supporting NPI through HVM.

Deliver data-driven test flows and AI-assisted automation to improve product quality and yield.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include validation, test development, and cross-functional problem resolution.

• Engineer LPDDR products and develop/maintain test flows to meet specifications and improve yield during NPI and HVM.
• Perform failure analysis using tester data, silicon characterization, and analytics.
• Apply AI and data-driven methods to detect patterns, anomalies, and yield predictors in test data.
• Validate circuit functionality and electrical performance across operating conditions (power, timing margin, IDD, training behaviors).
• Collaborate with Circuit Build, Fab Process, Quality Assurance, Process Integration, Application Engineering, and Test Solutions to implement root-cause fixes.
• Support NPI activities: bring-up, characterization, cross-site handover, and early production issue containment.
• Lead or participate in automation projects for intelligent data analysis, anomaly detection, and yield prediction.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

• Strong electrical testing skills on ATE platforms.
• Solid electrical engineering fundamentals and understanding of IC build and semiconductor devices.
• Experience in data extraction, test data analysis, and yield evaluation.
• Proficiency in Python; experience with data libraries (pandas, NumPy) and AI/ML libraries is helpful.
• Knowledge of AI/ML concepts (classification, clustering, regression, anomaly detection) and hands-on application of analytics to engineering/manufacturing problems.
• Experience with test data analysis automation, AI-assisted scripting, or intelligent monitoring solutions.
• Familiarity with LPDDR architecture and JEDEC specifications is a strong plus.
• Ability to lead projects, solve problems with data-driven approaches, and work in a fast-paced NPI environment.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent practical experience, in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Desired: background in VLSI, Semiconductor Physics, Nanotechnology, or Data/AI related fields. Proficiency in the language commonly spoken in Japan is advantageous.
