LPDDR DRAM MH BE Product Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for developing, validating, and ramping LPDDR DRAM products at Fab 16 in Taichung. The role focuses on test flow development, failure analysis, yield improvement, and electrical validation across NPI and high-volume manufacturing.

The engineer will apply data-driven and AI-assisted methods to improve quality and yield while collaborating with circuit build, process, test, and cross-site product engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical ownership of LPDDR validation, test and ramp activities, and applying analytics to improve yield and quality.

• Engineer LPDDR products for mobile, automotive, and data center applications.
• Develop and maintain ATE test flows to ensure specification compliance and improve yield during NPI and HVM.
• Perform failure analysis using tester data, silicon characterization, and advanced data analytics.
• Apply AI/data-driven techniques to identify patterns, correlations, and anomalies in test and yield data.
• Collaborate with Circuit Build and Fab Process teams to identify root causes and implement fixes.
• Validate circuit functionality and electrical performance across operating conditions.
• Support NPI activities: bring-up, characterization, cross-site handover, and yield ramping.
• Own LPDDR-specific validation items (power, timing margin, IDD, training behaviors).
• Lead or contribute to AI-assisted automation projects for data analysis, anomaly detection, and yield prediction.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and preferred capabilities.

• Must-have: Strong electrical testing experience with ATE platforms.
• Must-have: Solid electrical engineering fundamentals and understanding of IC build and semiconductor devices.
• Must-have: Experience in data extraction and yield evaluation.
• Must-have: Proficiency in Python; familiarity with data libraries (pandas, NumPy) and basic ML tools is expected.
• Desired / Nice-to-have: Practical experience applying data analytics or AI techniques to engineering or manufacturing problems.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of AI/ML concepts (classification, clustering, regression, anomaly detection) and experience with AI-assisted scripting or intelligent monitoring solutions.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with LPDDR architecture and JEDEC specifications.

Education Requirements

Required: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent experience, in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Desired: background in VLSI, Semiconductor Physics, Nanotechnology, or Data/AI–related fields. Proficiency in Japanese is advantageous.
