LoRa Systems Integration Engineer

Role Summary

Define, implement and maintain automated system-level test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to validate Semtech LoRa and LoRaWAN designs. Work with physical testbeds where real packets are transmitted and received over the air or wired connections.

Position is part of the wireless analog/digital and LoRa systems teams supporting system architecture, functional coverage expansion and faster validation cycles.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on creating repeatable, automated validation for system functionality and performance and integrating those tests into developer workflows.

• Design, implement and run automated system-level tests on physical testbeds (over-the-air and wired).
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD) to execute tests and provide rapid feedback on builds.
• Expand functional test coverage and accelerate validation throughput.
• Create and maintain test documentation, metrics and reports to track validation status and coverage.
• Identify gaps in validation, propose solutions and lead improvements to test procedures and processes.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role; listed nice-to-have items are indicated.

• Must-have: Practical experience with CI/CD and test automation, especially GitLab CI/CD.
• Must-have: Software development skills in C/C++ and Python; familiarity with Linux shell scripting.
• Must-have: Experience with embedded systems and test frameworks for hardware/software integration.
• Must-have: Ability to design and run system-level testbeds involving radio communication (over-the-air and wired).
• Nice-to-have: Embedded Linux experience.
