Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing, implementing, and delivering complex Ethernet/networking IP to meet functional, performance, and quality targets.
- Architect scalable micro-architectures and parameterize IP for performance/area trade-offs.
- Implement Verilog RTL and lead logic synthesis and timing closure efforts.
- Perform trade-off analysis on performance, area, and complexity.
- Ensure front-end to back-end handoff quality: lint, CDC, synthesis, STA, and LEC checks.
- Lead and participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance to the IP team.
- Work closely with IP verification, SoC integration, and application engineering to ensure timely delivery.
- Create and maintain detailed functional and implementation specifications and documentation.
- Drive continuous improvement in design methodology and IP development processes.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience for the role.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in digital design or related fields.
- Proficiency in Verilog RTL, logic synthesis, and timing closure.
- Familiarity with front-end IP development tools and IP development methodology.
- Ability to analyze system-level trade-offs and solve complex hardware problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Nice-to-have:
- Knowledge of Ethernet and networking technologies (including TSN) and TCP/IP.
- Experience with data products such as routers, bridges, and switches.
