Logic Design Engineer
Intel CorporationJob Title
Logic Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Devices Development Group (Client SoC team) to design and integrate RTL/IP for Intel Client SoC platforms. The role focuses on front-end RTL/logic design, IP-to-SoC integration, and ensuring design quality for downstream integration and silicon bring-up.
Experience Level
Mid-level - the posting indicates a minimum of about 3 years of relevant experience in IP or SoC RTL/Logic Design.
Responsibilities
Accountable for RTL/IP design, integration, and front-end quality to support Client SoC development and integration.
- Own internal IP RTL design and development or integrate high-performance/high-bandwidth IP into Client SoC platforms.
- Define, implement, and deliver new IP features, change requests, and enhancements.
- Drive IP-to-SoC handoff quality: ensure design completeness, compliance, and readiness for downstream integration.
- Perform RTL integration into SoC, including power intent definition, signal handling across power planes and clock domains.
- Provide front-end collateral for system and software integration.
- Collaborate with verification teams to validate functionality, features, and integration readiness.
- Execute front-end quality checks: RTL static analysis, synthesizability, timing and power convergence, netlist quality, and formal equivalence verification.
- Interpret power specifications; support power estimation, analysis, rollup, and convergence; investigate and resolve power issues.
Requirements
Core technical skills and experience required to perform the role.
- Proven RTL design experience using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Knowledge of IP/subsystem architecture, I/O architecture, and high-speed bus protocols.
- Experience with SoC/ASIC front-end design methodology, flows, and industry-standard tools.
- Experience with SoC fabric and interconnect design.
- Familiarity with front-end quality practices: static analysis, synthesizability checks, timing/power convergence, formal equivalence.
- Pre-silicon or post-silicon lab debug and power-on experience.
- Experience using automation, scripting, and AI-assisted engineering workflows to improve RTL/Logic productivity.
- Ability to combine domain expertise, automation, and structured practices to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. The posting specifies at least 3 years of experience in IP or SoC RTL/Logic Design.
