Job Title

Lead Test Engineer

Role Summary

Lead test development for highly integrated multi-rail power management devices, driving characterization, qualification, and production test release. The role partners with design, product engineering, and production teams to define test strategy and deliver robust, cost-effective ATE solutions.

Experience Level

Senior-level role. The posting requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include test development, silicon characterization, and production release activities:

  • Translate design specifications into comprehensive test plans and test programs for characterization and production.
  • Develop and debug ATE test programs and design ATE hardware interface boards.
  • Characterize silicon on ATE and correlate results with bench measurements; support failure analysis.
  • Perform statistical analysis of yield fallout; identify and fix yield issues and optimize test time.
  • Define and implement test strategies for new DC-DC converter products.
  • Develop qual hardware and support silicon qualification and characterization activities.
  • Work with production teams to release products to volume production and support offshore test offload.
  • Ensure test solutions are robust, cost-effective, and maintain product quality.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications derived from the posting.

Must-have:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant test engineering experience.
  • Experience with analog ATE (Teradyne Eagle preferred) or equivalent (iFlex, LTX, VLCT).
  • Experience developing characterization and production test programs and test hardware.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electronic devices, mixed-signal circuits, and analog test techniques.
  • Data analysis experience using STDF-based tools (Spotfire, dataPower, or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with lab equipment: oscilloscopes, power supplies, sourcemeters, electronic loads, etc.
  • Experience in yield improvement, test time reduction, and the IC product development process from concept to volume production.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with mixed-signal tests on company roadmap testers and test program/hardware offload to offshore manufacturing sites.
  • Programming/scripting proficiency (C++, Python, C#); LabVIEW and TestStand experience.
  • Revision control experience (Subversion, Git).
  • Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and time-management skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required (posting specifies Bachelor's level).
