Job Title

Lead Technical Program Manager

Role Summary

Lead technical program execution for next-generation FPGA products, driving cross-functional alignment and delivery from early definition through production. The role partners with senior engineering, product, and executive stakeholders to translate technical challenges into executable plans and measurable outcomes.

Experience Level

Senior - typically 12+ years of relevant experience with at least 8+ years leading complex semiconductor, FPGA, ASIC, or hardware/software development programs across multiple organizations and international teams.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate complex, cross-disciplinary engineering programs to deliver silicon products predictably and at scale.

  • Define program strategy, execution frameworks, schedules, milestones, and measurable outcomes from product definition through production release.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across architecture, RTL, DV, physical design, firmware, software, validation, and manufacturing teams.
  • Manage program-level risks, critical paths, dependencies, and trade-offs; define and drive mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate pre-silicon and post-silicon activities including verification, tape-out, silicon bring-up, debug, validation, sampling, and production ramp.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting on schedule, technical health, risks, dependencies, and resource needs; facilitate senior leadership reviews and decisions.
  • Establish and improve program governance, tools, operating mechanisms, and reporting to increase predictability and execution discipline.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to other Technical Program Managers and program leaders.

Requirements

Core technical program management experience and deep hardware/semiconductor domain knowledge are required. Below are the primary must-have and preferred capabilities.

  • Must-have: 12+ years in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or technical engineering leadership roles with demonstrated program execution results.
  • Must-have: 8+ years leading complex, cross-functional semiconductor, FPGA, ASIC, silicon, or hardware/software development programs.
  • Must-have: Strong silicon/hardware design domain expertise and familiarity with HW/FW/SW interactions to engage effectively with architecture, RTL, verification, physical design, firmware, software, and validation teams.
  • Must-have: Proven experience across the full product lifecycle: product definition, development, verification, tape-out, silicon bring-up, validation, debug, sampling, and production readiness.
  • Must-have: Demonstrated ability to lead distributed teams, influence senior stakeholders without direct authority, and drive accountability across organizations.
  • Must-have: Strong risk management, decision-making, and executive communication skills; ability to produce clear program health reporting.
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Technical experience with transceivers, embedded systems (ARM), configuration/security, PCIe, Ethernet, ASIC design or design verification (DV).
  • Preferred / Nice-to-have: Experience establishing program governance and scaled execution methodologies (Agile, hybrid Agile/Waterfall) in hardware/semiconductor environments.
  • Other: Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline is required. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is preferred.
