Job Title

Lead RF Product Test Engineer

Role Summary

Lead RF Product Test Engineer on Qorvo's High Performance Analog team based in Richardson, TX. The role drives product validation, characterization, and test development to reduce time-to-market for RF and mmWave products.

The engineer will partner with MMIC design and applications teams to plan and execute engineering sample builds, define DVT, develop automated test flows, analyze performance data, and support product introduction.

Experience Level

Professional / Mid-level. The posting specifies a minimum of 4–5+ years of electrical engineering or software testing experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing product test and validation activities, developing automation, and producing technical reports.

  • Define DVT scope, initiate execution, and track completion across product lines.
  • Plan and execute engineering sample builds, characterization, and product validation from DC to mmWave frequencies.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve automated test solutions and test automation framework.
  • Analyze test data and generate product performance reports.
  • Troubleshoot product performance and provide guidance on test setups.
  • Validate software integrations that support RF characterization and test automation.
  • Contribute to SQA for new test flow introduction and support cross-functional testing efforts.
  • Document test procedures, results, and release-oriented test documentation.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, experience, and working requirements.

  • 4–5+ years of experience in electrical engineering or software/testing roles focused on RF products.
  • Strong exposure to RF product performance and characterization.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Spotfire) or equivalent.
  • Proficient in test automation including design, development, and maintenance.
  • Experience validating RF test flows from DC to mmWave frequencies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work with test technicians and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Position is based in Richardson, TX and is not eligible for company-sponsored visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Education Requirements

BS degree or greater in Electrical Engineering.
