Lead Product Validation Engineer
Role Summary
The Lead Product Validation Engineer will qualify and validate the Xcelium Functional Safety flow, working within the Product Validation team and closely with Product Engineering and Development teams.
The role focuses on developing and executing safety-focused test plans, maintaining regression suites, and closing quality gaps for the functional safety domain of the product.
Experience Level
Senior-level. The posting requests 3+ years of experience in the EDA or VLSI industry.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include validating safety features and ensuring product quality through planned test activities.
- Qualify Xcelium Functional Safety flow and assess validation quality against requirements.
- Develop and execute test plans for functional safety features.
- Maintain regression tests and run regular test cycles.
- Report failures and track defects in the bug-tracking system.
- Create and integrate test cases to address quality gaps in the regression suite.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering and Development to interpret customer requirements and validation criteria.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, tools, and behaviors required to perform the role.
- 3+ years of experience in the EDA or VLSI industry (as noted in the posting).
- Strong knowledge of Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL, and C/C++.
- Experience with UVM and verification methodologies.
- Strong understanding of digital logic design and verification flows.
- Scripting experience (Perl, shell scripting, or similar).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work across functions and geographies and communicate with engineering and management stakeholders.
- Nice-to-have: Exposure to Safety Verification or specific Functional Verification design flows.
Education Requirements
BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
