Role Summary

Responsible for validation of Cadence Innovus (digital backend placement-and-routing) tools. The role focuses on test execution, coverage improvement, and issue detection and analysis for P&R functionality.

Owns test methodology development and evaluation utilities to support product quality and release stability.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Plan and execute validation and regression tests for Innovus P&R features.
• Drive testing of existing functionality and verification of new P&R features.
• Develop and maintain testing methodology to increase coverage and facilitate issue detection.
• Implement evaluation utilities and automation using scripting languages (Perl, Tcl, Python).
• Analyze failures, reproduce issues, and support debugging and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with development teams to verify fixes and validate new functionality.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

• Must-have: Experience validating digital backend P&R tools (Innovus or equivalent).
• Must-have: Proficiency in scripting (Perl, Tcl, and/or Python) to build test utilities and automation.
• Must-have: Experience with regression testing, test design, and diagnosing product issues.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with EDA flows, placement-and-routing concepts, and verification methodologies.
• Nice-to-have: Prior experience in product validation or QA for complex software products.
