Job Title

Lead Product Engineer

Role Summary

The Lead Product Engineer will work on the Modus Test Product Engineering team focused on Design For Test (DFT) and Automatic Test Pattern Generation (ATPG). The role leads specification, prototyping, implementation coordination, and validation of new DFT/ATPG product features.

Primary interactions include R&D, Product Validation, field teams, and customers to deploy flows and resolve issues. We’re doing work that matters.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Typical experience: BS with 6+ years or MS with 4+ years of direct DFT experience; equivalent practical experience considered.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include defining and delivering DFT/ATPG product features and customer-facing deployment.

  • Define product specifications and develop prototypes for new DFT/ATPG features.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Product Validation during implementation and validation.
  • Support field teams and customers: develop flows, create presentations, and provide hands-on debug and deployment assistance.
  • Monitor DFT/ATPG technology trends and incorporate relevant innovations into the product roadmap.

Requirements

Key technical and interpersonal requirements. Degree and years-of-experience details are listed in Education Requirements below.

  • Must-have: Direct, practical experience in DFT within EDA, CAD, or design implementation.
  • Must-have: Solid understanding of ATPG, Scan methodologies, JTAG, IEEE 1687 (iJTAG), MBIST, and LBIST.
  • Must-have: Ability to work in a dynamic environment and engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Must-have: Strong written and verbal communication and customer-collaboration skills.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with STA, Physical Design, or silicon bring-up related to DFT.
  • Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with industry DFT EDA tools and broad knowledge of how DFT interacts with other VLSI domains.

Education Requirements

BS (or equivalent practical experience) with 6+ years of direct DFT experience, or MS with 4+ years of direct DFT experience; equivalent practical experience accepted. (No specific field-of-study was specified.)
