Role Summary

Lead Product Engineer for static timing analysis (STA) products, focused on the Tempus Timing Signoff Solution. Owns translation of customer requirements into product specifications, collaborates with R&D on feature delivery and quality, and supports customer deployments and enablement.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include driving STA product quality, customer engagements, and technical direction for timing signoff workflows.

• Provide hands-on expertise in Static Timing Analysis and signoff methodologies (timing, SI, OCV/POCV, AOCV, MPW, derates, CDC/clocking, hierarchical design closure, constraint modeling).
• Operate as the technical bridge between customers and R&D: capture pain points, use cases, and precise requirements.
• Create detailed, implementable product specifications derived from customer needs.
• Collaborate closely with R&D teams on feature development, enhancements, and bug resolution.
• Support tool deployment and customer enablement: evaluations, benchmarking, flow recommendations, and best-practice guidance.
• Validate solutions on real customer designs and propose continuous tool improvements.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills required to perform this role.

• Hands-on expertise in STA fundamentals and advanced signoff concepts.
• Practical experience with Tempus and/or PrimeTime.
• Knowledge of timing constraints (SDC) and path-based analysis.
• Scripting skills for automation and analysis (Tcl; Python preferred).
• Strong communication skills for clear technical explanations and customer interactions.
• Proven ability to write clear product specifications and work cross-functionally with R&D.

Nice-to-have.

• Familiarity with VLSI design flows from front-end through signoff.
• Prior experience supporting customer deployments, benchmarking, or field enablement.
