Lead Product Engineer
Role Summary
Provide technical support and operational ownership for Spectre-based analog simulation flows and foundry PDK/QA processes. Collaborate with product engineering and R&D to reproduce customer issues, track resolutions, and support foundry-related customer engagements.
Experience Level
Senior. Requires 3+ years of relevant experience in an IC design house or foundry.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support for Spectre-based analog simulation flows, including schematic, MMSIM, and design environment usage.
- Assist foundry teams in developing and maintaining PDKs and related QA flows.
- Work with product engineers and R&D to communicate customer issues, reproduce problems, and help track resolutions.
- Participate in foundry and customer engagements to clarify flows, demonstrate tool usage, and reproduce issues.
- Coordinate with internal teams to escalate and follow up on complex customer problems.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes:
- Experience with SPICE-level and fast-SPICE simulators (examples: Spectre, HSPICE, HSim, Ultrasim, XPS, Finesim).
- Experience with analog/mixed-signal pre-layout and post-layout simulation tools (examples: AMS Designer, XA-VCS).
- Familiarity with transistor-level reliability work and EM/IR analysis.
- Experience working in IC design or foundry environments (debugging flows and working with PDKs).
- Strong communication skills, self-motivated, collaborative, and customer-oriented.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years of work experience in an IC design house or foundry. A Master’s degree is preferred.
