Role Summary

Lead Product Engineer for Static Timing Analysis (STA), focused on the Tempus Timing Signoff Solution. Partner with customers and R&D to define product requirements, drive feature development, and ensure successful tool deployment and adoption.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical customer engagement, specification development, and continuous improvement of STA tools and flows.

• Provide hands-on STA expertise covering signoff methodologies, OCV/POCV, AOCV, derates, CDC/clocking, hierarchical design closure, and constraint modeling.
• Translate customer requirements and pain points into detailed, implementable product specifications and use cases.
• Act as a technical bridge between customers and R&D; validate solutions on real customer designs.
• Collaborate with R&D on feature development, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Support tool deployment, evaluations, benchmarking, flow recommendations, and customer enablement.
• Identify gaps and propose improvements to tool quality, usability, and signoff flows.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and customer-facing competencies; nice-to-have items are noted.

• Must-have: Strong understanding of STA fundamentals and advanced signoff concepts.
• Must-have: Hands-on experience with Tempus and/or Synopsys PrimeTime.
• Must-have: Experience with timing constraints (SDC) and path-based analysis.
• Must-have: Scripting for automation and analysis (Tcl and/or Python).
• Must-have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for customer interactions.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with end-to-end VLSI design flows (front-end through signoff).
