Job Title
Lead Principal Engineer, Analog Mixed-Signal Design
Role Summary
Lead a research & development team to define, design, and deliver high-performance analog and mixed-signal (AMS) IPs, with emphasis on data converters for digitally controlled power systems. Provide technical direction across architecture, circuit design, layout, testing and production transfer while coordinating with digital, systems, and application engineering teams.
Work will impact power-system and IoT solutions used in energy-efficient and mobility applications.
Experience Level
Senior β 15+ years of experience in analog mixed-signal IC design, with substantial experience in data converters and AMS IP development.
Responsibilities
Lead technical delivery and team development across the AMS design lifecycle.
- Manage and mentor a small-to-medium team of mixed-signal IC designers; provide technical guidance and coaching.
- Define architectures and lead development of high-performance ADCs, DACs and related analog/mixed-signal IP from concept through production.
- Collaborate with digital design, systems engineering, and application engineering to select and validate optimal data-converter architectures for digitally controlled power systems.
- Establish and enforce methodologies for design integration, verification, layout, and silicon bring-up.
- Drive achievement of performance, quality, and milestone targets; oversee testing and qualification activities.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 15+ years of hands-on analog and mixed-signal IC design experience, focused on data converters and AMS IP for high-volume production.
- Proven track record of delivering high-performance AMS IP to production with strong emphasis on reliability and manufacturability.
- Deep expertise in ADC architecture, circuit design, layout considerations, and silicon validation.
- Proficiency with analytical and behavioral modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and experience with C/SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
- Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to cross-functional and multi-national stakeholders.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience in digitally controlled power systems or power-management ICs.
- Experience establishing team processes for AMS-to-system integration.
Education Requirements
