Lead MTS Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Participate in pre-silicon RTL verification for PCIe-related controller IP within the SoftIP Products team. Focus is on developing testbenches, verification sequences, coverage, and regression infrastructure to validate controller RTL before silicon delivery.
Onsite role in Bengaluru with a hybrid schedule; reports to local technical management.
Experience Level
Senior — 3–5 years of relevant design verification or RTL verification experience (as stated in the posting).
Responsibilities
The engineer will design and maintain verification assets, run regressions, and debug RTL and verification environments.
- Develop testbench and test sequences for new controller technologies and features.
- Plan and implement functional coverage; code coverage items and augment test suites to meet goals.
- Create, run, and maintain regression tests; monitor results and triage failures.
- Debug controller RTL and test environment issues; support root-cause analysis.
- Develop and support verification environment scripting and automation capabilities.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and relevant experience; preferred items noted.
- Experience with SystemVerilog and/or UVM testbenches and RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) design/verification.
- Proven ability to write and run regression suites and implement functional coverage.
- Strong debug and triage skills for testbenches and RTL designs.
- Experience building and maintaining verification environment scripts and tools.
- Preferred: familiarity with PCI Express protocol.
- Preferred: working experience with Python and TCL scripting.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science (Bachelors Degree or above in EE/CS). The posting specifies 3–5 years of relevant project/work experience related to HDL logic design and verification and project experience with HDL/RTL (SystemVerilog/UVM).
