Lead MTS PMIC Application and Validation Engineer

Role Summary

Lead the application and validation of Power Management ICs (PMICs) for Rambus memory interface products. Develop and maintain bench and system-level validation environments to verify PMIC performance against specifications.

Work with IC design, product marketing, and customers to define power solutions, provide post-silicon bring-up support, and resolve field issues.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 5+ years of hands-on experience in PMIC application and validation or power supply design.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include bench and system validation, automation, and cross-team coordination.

  • Perform bench validation and debugging of Power Management ICs and power subsystems.
  • Develop Python scripts and automation for bench test flows and data collection.
  • Support post-silicon bring-up, characterize performance, and generate validation reports.
  • Work with IC design, firmware, and marketing to define and validate memory power solutions.
  • Interface with customers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve field issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in PMIC application and validation or power supply design.
  • Proven bench debugging skills with power measurement and validation equipment.
  • Experience writing Python for test automation and data processing.
  • Post-silicon bring-up experience and ability to interact with design and ops teams.
  • Experience supporting customers and resolving product issues in the field.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have: experience with memory system power architectures and AC/DC power electronics testing. New graduates with a Power Electronics background may be considered with adjusted level.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Power Electronics coursework or equivalent practical experience is relevant; new graduates with a Power Electronics background are explicitly welcome.
