Lead Member Technical Staff

Role Summary

Join the Formal Verification team within Siemens EDA to develop and maintain features in the Questa product family. The role covers the full software lifecycle: specification, algorithm design, implementation, testing, and delivery to customers.

You will own components, collaborate across engineering teams, and mentor junior engineers to improve technical quality and product robustness.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 5+ years of professional software development experience, with exposure to design and verification domains.

Responsibilities

Primary engineering and delivery responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver new features for formal verification software, ensuring quality, scalability, and testability.
  • Design algorithms, write functional specifications, and produce comprehensive test plans.
  • Customize and improve software components to meet evolving customer and market needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Take ownership of specific components, drive them to production quality, and maintain best development practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers and raise technical standards across the team.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 5+ years of professional software development experience in software for design/verification domains.
  • Strong proficiency in C++, including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Hands-on expertise with hardware description languages: Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
  • Practical experience with development tools and platforms: git, gdb, makefiles, and Linux.
  • Proven ability to deliver large, end-to-end software projects and solve complex technical problems.

Nice-to-have:

  • Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Bash, or Tcl).
  • Experience with formal verification, synthesis, simulation, assertions, or coverage-based testing.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline (as specified in the posting).
