Lead Engineer, Development Product Engineering
Role Summary
Designs and implements automated test solutions from product definition through high-volume production release. Collaborates with Design, Product Validation, Systems Engineering, and Manufacturing to define test plans, develop ATE programs, and design test hardware that ensures robust coverage, optimized test time, and smooth transfers to global manufacturing sites.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, debug, and document ATE test programs for wafer-level (probe) and package-level (final) test.
- Perform product setups and testing on Teradyne/Eagle (ETS), SPATS platforms, and standard device handlers.
- Design and verify test interface hardware (load boards, probe cards, socket assemblies) with attention to signal integrity and multisite capability.
- Lead validation phases: Gage R&R, stability studies, spike analysis, loop studies, bench-to-ATE correlation, and test time optimization.
- Perform statistical analysis and data-driven test-limit setting using JMP, Galaxy, or Python; interpret histograms and failure-mode data to establish yield targets.
- Collaborate with IC Design on Design for Test (DFT) to maximize coverage and multisite efficiency.
- Manage Product Test Capability (PTC) deliverables and present validation results to Core Teams and BU management for production approval.
- Lead production ramps and technical deployment to manufacturing sites to ensure high first-pass yield and smooth site transfers.
- Maintain technical documentation (TED packages), modular code libraries, and hardware design standards; follow version control and peer-review protocols.
- Coordinate globally with counterparts in the U.S., Europe, and Asia and drive continuous improvement projects to reduce cycle time and product cost.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Proven experience developing and debugging ATE test programs for probe and final test environments.
- Hands-on experience with Teradyne/Eagle (ETS), SPATS, and industry-standard device handlers.
- Test-hardware design experience: load boards, probe cards, socket assemblies, and multisite interfaces.
- Strong statistical and data-analysis skills using JMP, Galaxy, or Python.
- Proficiency with C/C++ and ETS test code; experience with formal version control and peer-review processes.
- Experience with validation methodologies: GR&R, stability studies, spike analysis, loop studies, and bench-to-ATE correlation.
- Experience supporting production ramps, test deployment, and site transfers.
- Solid project management, cross-functional communication, and technical documentation skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with RS-Vigilant and transient/spike analysis tools.
- Experience with reliability stress-test strategies (HTOL, HAST) and modular code/hardware libraries.
Education Requirements
