Role Summary

Lead DFT Engineer responsible for DFT architecture, scan insertion deliverables, and ATPG support for digital design teams during synthesis and implementation flows.

Works with implementation, verification, and SoC teams to enable testability, run coverage analysis, and resolve test-related issues.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include DFT integration, ATPG, and test coverage activities.

  • Analyze DFT architecture and define scan insertion strategy and collaterals for implementation teams.
  • Enable and support scan insertion flows during synthesis.
  • Contribute to ATPG development and delivery at partition and SoC level.
  • Perform GLS-based DFT simulation, fault modeling, and coverage analysis.
  • Collaborate with implementation, verification, and cross-functional teams to diagnose and fix testability issues.
  • Adhere to industry test standards such as IEEE 1149.1 (JTAG) and IEEE 1687 (IJTAG).

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and tool experience.

  • Hands-on experience with scan insertion, ATPG, and GLS.
  • Proficiency with industry DFT tools such as Mentor Tessent, Synopsys DFT Compiler, and Cadence Encounter Test.
  • Experience with DFT GLS simulation tools, fault modeling, and coverage analysis.
  • Familiarity with IEEE 1149.1 (JTAG) and IEEE 1687 (IJTAG) standards.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and ability to work across functions.
