Job Title

Lead Customer Engagement Engineer 6 Spectre

Role Summary

Provide technical support for Spectre-based analog simulation flows, including schematic, MMSIM and design-environment usage. Support foundry PDK development and QA flows, work with product and R&D teams to communicate customer issues and track resolution, and participate in foundry-related customer engagements to reproduce issues and clarify flows.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 6+ years of experience in an IC design house or foundry working on transistor-level simulation and analog/mixed-signal verification.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Provide hands-on technical support for Spectre and fast-spice simulation flows (schematic, MMSIM, design environment).
  • Assist foundry teams with PDK development, validation and QA flows.
  • Work with product engineers and R&D to document, track, and drive resolution of customer issues.
  • Reproduce customer problems, clarify tool usage and flow steps during customer engagements.
  • Advise customers and internal teams on simulation methodologies and best practices.

Requirements

Key technical and professional requirements.

  • 6+ years of industry experience in IC design, foundry support, or equivalent customer-facing engineering roles.
  • Strong experience with transistor-level and fast-spice simulators such as Spectre, Hspice, Hsim, Ultrasim, XPS, Finesim.
  • Experience with analog/mixed-signal pre-layout and post-layout simulation tools (example: AMS Designer, XA-VCS).
  • Experience with transistor-level reliability analysis and EM/IR analysis.
  • Experience supporting PDK development and QA flows.
  • Proven ability to reproduce complex issues, communicate findings, and collaborate with R&D and product teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; customer-oriented and self-motivated.

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is required. A Masters degree is desired. The posting specifies a Bachelors (EE/CS) with 6+ years of experience and indicates an MS is preferred.
