Job Title

Lead ASIC Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead verification efforts for block- and system-level ASIC/SoC designs on advanced process nodes. Own verification strategy, environments, and cross-functional coordination to deliver production-quality silicon.

Experience Level

Senior β€” role targets an experienced engineer; the posting specifies 17+ years of relevant ASIC design verification experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this role include:

  • Define and lead end-to-end verification strategies at block and system levels.
  • Architect, deploy, and improve verification methodologies and flows.
  • Develop scalable, object-oriented verification environments and testbenches.
  • Independently debug complex design and verification issues and analyze trade-offs.
  • Coordinate with design and verification teams on coverage, schedules, and architecture decisions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and conditions:

  • Extensive experience with RTL verification methodologies, including SystemVerilog.
  • Strong knowledge of UVM and object-oriented verification practices.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting (Perl, Python, or Tcl).
  • Experience with advanced process nodes (experience with 5nm and below is highly desired).
  • Proven ability to debug complex hardware and verification issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; demonstrated leadership in collaborative teams.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Nice-to-have / preferred:

  • Background in hardware design, SystemC, or other programming languages.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware emulation (e.g., Palladium, Zebu) and FPGA-based prototyping.
  • Familiarity with EDA tool flows and end-to-end silicon development lifecycles.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (as stated). No alternative "equivalent experience" language was provided in the posting.
