Job Title
Lead Analog and Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Lead and provide technical guidance to an analog and mixed-signal design team responsible for custom power-management circuits and related IP for next-generation CPU/SoC products. The role covers architecture collaboration, circuit design, physical design handoff, and post-silicon validation.
Work with cross-functional teams and third-party IP vendors to deliver robust, production-ready analog IP for high-performance, energy-efficient AI compute products.
Experience Level
Senior β requires substantial prior experience. The posting specifies a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
Technical leadership and delivery responsibilities:
- Lead development and delivery of custom analog and mixed-signal circuits in advanced process nodes.
- Define specifications with power-management architects for custom analog IP.
- Design, simulate and verify analog building blocks (voltage regulators, sensors, amplifiers) ensuring robustness across PVT.
- Collaborate with layout designers to ensure layouts meet specifications and best practices.
- Generate physical-design collaterals for SoC/core integration.
- Develop post-silicon test plans and drive system-level bring-up toward productization.
- Provide mentorship, technical guidance and leadership to other members of the analog team.
- Coordinate with third-party IP vendors to co-develop and integrate analog IP.
Requirements
Core technical and tool requirements. Must-haves are listed first; nice-to-haves follow.
-
Must-have: Extensive experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design with strong understanding of noise, mismatch, and precision design techniques.
-
Must-have: In-depth hands-on design experience with high-precision voltage regulators, op-amps, comparators, buck switching converters, and LDOs.
-
Must-have: Proficiency with Cadence design suite for schematic entry, layout and SPICE simulations.
-
Must-have: Experience delivering silicon-ready analog IP including documentation and physical-design deliverables.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience designing in advanced FinFET technology nodes.
-
Nice-to-have: Prior experience collaborating with IP vendors and co-developing third-party IP.
Education Requirements
Electrical or Computer Engineering degree required with experience expectations: Bachelor's degree with 12 years related experience; Master's degree with 8 years related experience; or PhD with 5 years related experience. (The posting also states a general minimum of 10 years relevant work experience.)
