Layout Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement physical layout for mixed-signal and analog integrated circuits. Collaborate with Design, CAD, and Layout management to produce manufacturable tapeouts while meeting matching, layout rule, and schedule requirements.

Responsibilities
Primary duties include planning, executing, and verifying IC layouts from block level through chip tapeout.
- Estimate layout schedule and die size; create chip plan.
- Place devices at block level to meet matching and layout constraints.
- Implement blocks at top-level and handle block-to-top integration.
- Apply signal matching and shielding techniques for sensitive nets.
- Design pad/ESD structures, routing, and connections.
- Perform database DRC and LVS verification and resolve issues.
- Execute chip tapeout following company procedures.
- Work professionally and independently; maintain a positive, collaborative attitude.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience; preferred items listed separately.
- Layout experience in analog and/or mixed-signal IC design (must-have).
- Ability to plan chips, estimate die size, and produce realistic project schedules (must-have).
- Ability to resolve DRC & LVS issues and perform chip tapeout independently (must-have).
- Familiarity with fundamentals of analog processes (must-have).
- Experience with Cadence and/or Virtuoso tools (preferred).
