Layout Designer
Role Summary
Design and prepare multi-dimensional semiconductor device layouts and detailed drawings from schematics and geometry provided by design engineering. Work is performed within the product development engineering organization to produce manufacturing-ready artwork and drawings.
Experience Level
Entry-level — minimum 1 year of relevant layout design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include converting schematics into layout, verifying geometry, and producing detailed documentation.
- Develop multi-dimensional layouts and detailed drawings from schematics and provided geometry.
- Use CAD tools to generate and edit layout artwork.
- Check dimensions and verify completed drawings, artwork or digitized plots.
- Write and review specifications associated with layouts.
- Perform design-layout checks and verify detailed drawings for correctness.
- Collaborate with design engineers and stakeholders to resolve layout issues.
Requirements
