Junior Product Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Automotive Embedded Systems product engineering team to support product development from concept through high-volume manufacturing. The role works closely with Design, Process, Packaging, Test, Quality, Marketing and Manufacturing across international sites.

Primary mission: define and execute characterization and qualification activities, enable manufacturability and yield optimization, and support ramp into production.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Early career — suitable for recent graduates (BSc/MSc) and candidates with internships or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

• Create and execute electrical and product characterization plans.
• Co-develop qualification plans with Quality that reflect product use cases.
• Design and drive hardware required for characterization, qualification and testing.
• Introduce and apply Design-for-X (DfX) methods in product design.
• Perform and optimize in-depth statistical analysis of test and manufacturing data.
• Interface with Test Engineering to ensure production tests meet quality and product requirements.
• Evaluate producibility to optimize yield and cost; support ramp to high-volume manufacturing with production sites.
• Prepare processes and flows for handling customer complaints and quality incidents.

• Must-have: Skills in statistics and data analysis applied to test/manufacturing data.
• Must-have: Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and reporting skills.
• Must-have: Ability to work in international teams and independently; good communication skills.
• Must-have: Familiarity with hardware design for characterization/test equipment or willingness to develop this skill.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence.

Education Requirements

BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree. Candidates with relevant internships, PhD or equivalent practical experience are also considered.
