Job Title

Junior Digital Design Engineer

Role Summary

Work on the design, verification and productization of digital IP cores as part of the engineering team based in Brno. The team develops IP for bus interfaces, network protocols, multimedia and automotive applications.

The role involves IP core design and verification, integrating IP into reference systems, and implementing/evaluating reference designs on FPGAs.

Experience Level

Entry-level / Junior. Suitable for candidates with academic or some industry experience; typically up to a few years of experience in digital design.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include creating and validating digital IP and reference implementations.

  • Design and verification of digital IP cores.
  • Integrate IP cores into system or subsystem reference designs.
  • Implement and evaluate reference designs on FPGAs.
  • Support productization of new IP cores.

Requirements

  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Understanding of digital design concepts.
  • Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL at least at the FPGA level.
  • Experience with simulation and verification tools (Modelsim or similar).
  • Preferred: familiarity with scripting (TCL, shell), C/C++ coding, and embedded processor concepts.

Education Requirements

MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; or 2–3 years of professional digital design experience. Candidates with relevant academic experience or equivalent practical experience in digital IC/FPGA design are acceptable.
