Role Summary

Member of the Physical Design team responsible for physical implementation of analog and mixed-signal (AMS) blocks for ultra-high-speed Optical Engine circuits. Work focuses on floorplanning, power planning, placement and custom routing for speed- and signal-sensitive blocks, and on integration at block and top levels.

Responsibilities

The role executes AMS physical layout tasks and supports integration, verification and release activities. Key responsibilities include:

• Physical implementation of analog and mixed-signal circuits (floorplanning, placement, power planning).
• Custom routing and layout for ultra-high-speed, signal-sensitive blocks.
• Apply advanced design flows and checks to address IR, EM, and crosstalk issues.
• Address ESD and latch-up constraints and requirements.
• Block-level and top-level integration and ownership of chip releases and deliverables.
• Collaborate with front-end (schematic/RTL) teams to optimize physical designs.
• Participate in design reviews, documentation, and methodology improvements.

• Must-have: Proven track record delivering AMS blocks for production silicon.
• Strong industrial experience in analog/mixed-signal CMOS layout.
• Experience in layout design of transmitters, drivers, receivers, TIAs, and PLLs.
• Experience owning chip releases and top-level deliverables.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with SOI, FinFET process technologies or BiCMOS.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as TCL, SKILL, PERL, or SVRF.
