Job Title

JEDEC MTS Hardware Engineer

Role Summary

Represent Micron in JEDEC and related industry forums to define and advance DRAM module standards (e.g., DDR5/DDR6, RDIMM, MRDIMM, CAMM) and translate those standards into practical design and validation guidance for internal product teams.

Work cross-functionally with architecture, design, validation, and compliance teams to develop specifications, test methods, and interoperability requirements that influence future memory module roadmaps.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include contributing to standards development and ensuring internal alignment with industry requirements.

  • Represent Micron in JEDEC committees, task groups, and technical forums for DRAM module standards.
  • Define and review module architecture, electrical and mechanical requirements, signal integrity, timing, and compliance criteria.
  • Partner with internal engineering teams to develop proposals and convert standards into actionable design guidance.
  • Create and review technical specifications, test methodologies, and interoperability/compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to influence standards and roadmaps.

Must-have:

  • Experience in hardware development, system architecture, or validation for DRAM modules or high-speed memory subsystems.
  • Working knowledge of JEDEC standards and memory interface technologies.
  • Experience with schematic review, PCB design, validation, compliance testing, or system debug.
  • Strong technical communication and cross-team collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Direct participation in JEDEC or other industry standards organizations.
  • Experience with DDR5, DDR6, RDIMM, LRDIMM, MRDIMM, CAMM, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with signal integrity, timing analysis, interoperability, and compliance methodologies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional or cross-company technical initiatives and translating standards into design guidance for product teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
