ISP Intern — Pressure Sensor Product Line

Role Summary

Participate in development of position sensor modules for the pressure sensor product line within the manufacturing team in Shanghai. The role focuses on hands-on hardware and firmware tasks: system design, prototyping, calibration, testing and technical documentation.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship suitable for current university students. Short-term commitment: minimum 2 days per week for at least 3 consecutive months.

Responsibilities

Support design, prototyping, testing, and delivery of position sensor modules.

• Design sensor solutions, sensing coils, and peripheral circuits for IPS applications.
• Prototype, calibrate, test, and deliver position sensor modules.
• Develop calibration tools covering flow design, data processing, and calibration algorithms.
• Build demos and test benches; develop sample code or test scripts.
• Perform hardware debugging and failure analysis using lab instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, logic analyzer).
• Produce test reports, user guides, and application notes.

Requirements

Must-have skills and availability for the internship.

• Solid knowledge of analog and digital circuits, sensor principles, signal processing, and embedded systems.
• Proficient in PCB/EDA tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad, Cadence Allegro).
• Proficient in C and Python programming.
• Hands-on experimentation and debugging experience; practical engineering problem-solving.
• Teamwork, attention to detail, and strong responsibility.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills.
• Availability: minimum 2 days per week for at least 3 consecutive months.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with 3D printing or basic mechanical fixture design.
• Practical project experience in motor control, encoders, or robotics.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering field (for example: electronics, control, robotics) while enrolled as a student.
