Develop testbenches, test suites and verification infrastructure for IP and subsystems within Arm's Solution Engineering division. Work with design teams to validate microarchitectural specifications and ensure functional correctness across Enterprise, Automotive and Client markets.

Experience Level

Mid-level. The posting does not specify a years-of-experience range but expects prior verification experience on complex subsystems or SoCs.

Responsibilities

Execute functional verification activities and collaborate with design and verification teams to deliver high-quality IP.

  • Write test plans and implement testbenches and test cases to meet quality and schedule targets.
  • Develop verification suites and infrastructure for reconfigurable IP and subsystems.
  • Partner with design to review microarchitectural specifications and debug functional issues.
  • Use simulation, formal tools and debug tools to identify and resolve functional and coverage gaps.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to drive verification closure and maintain documentation and support.

Requirements

Core technical skills required, followed by preferred additions.

  • Experience across verification stages: test-plan creation, testbench implementation, test-case development, documentation and support.
  • Familiarity with front-end verification tools and simulators (dynamic and static simulation), UPF, and hardware debuggers (examples: Questa, VCS, JasperGold, Verdi).
  • Practical experience with coverage metrics: functional, toggle and code coverage.
  • Experience verifying reconfigurable IP or subsystems.
  • Strong debugging and collaboration skills with design and verification teams.

Nice-to-have

  • Object-oriented programming concepts and scripting (Perl, Python or similar).
  • Familiarity with ARM-based designs and ARM system architectures.
