IP Verification Director

Role Summary

Lead the development and delivery of verification IP (VIP) and verification methodologies for high-speed interfaces and coherency protocols used with Questa RTL simulation. The role manages technical direction, cross-functional collaboration, and customer-facing support for IP verification products.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, product delivery, and customer engagement.

  • Lead design, development, and verification of VIP for interfaces such as PCIe Gen5/Gen6, USB3.2, 400Gb Ethernet, DDR5, LPDDR5 and coherency protocols like CXL.
  • Define verification strategy, test plans, coverage goals, assertions, and BFM architectures.
  • Oversee RTL design verification and emulation activities; guide debug, logging, and tracker mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with customers and field engineers (PEs/AEs) to resolve issues, deploy solutions, and collect requirements.
  • Coordinate with system architects to validate latency, bandwidth, and system-level performance trade-offs.
  • Mentor and lead engineering teams; drive technical decisions and industry-aligned best practices.

Requirements

  • Must-have: 18+ years of experience in RTL design, IP/VIP development, verification, or emulation with demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Must-have: Strong SystemVerilog and UVM experience; experience with assertions, coverage-driven verification, test plans, BFMs, debug tooling, loggers, and trackers.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with register layering and common bus/protocol behaviors (PCIe, USB, Ethernet, Memory, CHI).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience developing C/SystemC-based tests or system-level testbenches.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of coherent and non-coherent NoC operation, and experience with CPU/GPU/display/network/device/memory subsystem interactions.
  • Proven ability to work directly with customers and field engineers to diagnose and resolve complex verification or integration issues.

Education Requirements

B.Tech or M.Tech in Electronics or a related field from a reputed institute. (Education specified in source.)
