Entry-level — typically 1–2 years of relevant experience in Soft IP or digital design.
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities include:
- Derive micro-architectural specifications from high-level architecture documents.
- Implement RTL using SystemVerilog and maintain coding standards.
- Create testbenches and perform functional verification of IP.
- Run EDA/design flows and qualification tools to meet delivery standards.
- Prepare timing collateral and waiver documentation.
- Support SoC teams in IP integration, usage, and deployment.
- Work with functional bus protocols and IEEE test standards (e.g., JTAG).
- Automate flows and scripts to improve productivity and repeatability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and document design deliverables.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills:
-
Must-have: Strong digital design fundamentals and demonstrable RTL coding experience in SystemVerilog.
-
Must-have: 1–2 years of experience in Soft IP development, including RTL development, verification, and running design qualification flows.
-
Must-have: Experience creating testbenches and performing functional verification.
-
Must-have: Familiarity with EDA/design tools and timing qualification procedures.
