Job Title

IP Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on verification for UCIe mixed-signal IP targeted at Intel server SoCs. The role focuses on testbench and methodology development, RTL and gate-level functional verification, and collaboration with design teams to deliver robust IP.

Experience Level

Mid-level; typically 3+ years of IP/SoC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Accountabilities include developing verification infrastructure, executing verification plans, and debugging functional issues across RTL, gate-level and mixed-signal flows.

  • Develop UVM testbenches and directed/constrained-random tests.
  • Define verification plans, coverage goals, and verification methodology with design teams.
  • Run RTL and gate-level simulations; debug failures and analyze coverage results.
  • Support mixed-signal verification using Verilog behavioral models of analog IP.
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to review specs and resolve issues.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and behaviors.

  • IP or SoC verification experience using SystemVerilog and UVM.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and RTL for debug.
  • Experience implementing verification environments with constrained-random stimulus.
  • Experience with code and functional coverage analysis.
  • Experience writing SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA).
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, clear verbal and written communication, and ability to work effectively on teams and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-have:

  • Mixed-signal verification experience.
  • Experience with UCIe, PCIe, or I/O interface verification.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 5+ years' relevant experience; OR Master's in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 3+ years' experience; OR PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 2+ years' experience.
