Job Title

IP Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

As an IP Design Verification Engineer on the Unified Intel Chassis team, you will perform functional verification of IP logic in pre-silicon environments. You will develop verification environments and testbenches, execute verification plans, debug failing tests, and work with architects, RTL developers and physical design teams to ensure designs meet specifications and quality targets.

Experience Level

Entry-level: 0–1 years of industry IP verification experience (0–1 years with a Bachelor's degree; 0 years with a Master's degree).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include creating and executing verification plans, debugging designs in simulation, and improving verification infrastructure and methodologies.

  • Develop IP verification plans, testbenches, and verification environments aligned to microarchitecture specifications.
  • Execute verification plans using system simulation models to evaluate functionality and find bugs.
  • Debug pre-silicon issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes for failing tests.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL developers, and physical design teams; drive technical reviews of plans and proofs.
  • Maintain and enhance functional verification infrastructure and methodologies; define verification infrastructures and create TFMs.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and experience with hardware simulation environments.
  • Familiarity with OVM and UVM verification methodologies.
  • Experience writing IP tests, test plans, and using validation tools.
  • Ability to debug and resolve issues using hardware simulation tools; strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration.
  • Nice-to-have: familiarity with CPU architecture fundamentals and digital design principles; experience with C/C++/C#; knowledge of interconnects.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is listed as the minimum. A Master's degree is accepted (experience expectations: 0–1 years with a Bachelor's degree; 0 years with a Master's degree). No certifications were specified.
