IOMMU Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the AMD IOHUB (NBIO) team as an ASIC design verification engineer focused on I/O connectivity and virtualization IP for client, server, embedded and graphics products. You will define verification architecture and test plans, develop verification environments and VIP, and drive verification closure and sign-off.
Location: Vancouver and Markham, Canada. Work is conducted in a hybrid setting.
Experience Level
Mid-level. The posting does not specify years of experience but expects strong ASIC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include ownership of IP verification activities and improving verification infrastructure and methodology.
- Collaborate with IP architects to define verification architecture and development plans.
- Take end-to-end ownership of verification for complex IP features across projects.
- Create and execute test plans, develop verification environments, and run regressions to close functional and code coverage.
- Develop, modify, and maintain VIP, libraries, verification environments, and testcases (random and directed) using SystemVerilog/SVA/UVM.
- Triage and debug regressions; analyze functional and code coverage results.
- Reproduce functional bugs found in post-silicon in dynamic simulation and/or formal environments.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain scripts/tools to improve engineering infrastructure and execution.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and tools, plus a few preferred additions.
- Must-have: Strong ASIC verification experience and solid understanding of digital design and computer architecture.
- Must-have: Proficiency with Verilog, SystemVerilog, SVA, UVM, and object-oriented concepts; experience debugging RTL with simulation tools.
- Must-have: Programming experience in C/C++ and comfort working in Linux and Windows environments.
- Nice-to-have: Experience in security verification.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with formal verification methods and automation scripting/tools to improve verification flow.
Education Requirements
BS or MS degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer) or Computer Science.
