Internship — Software Developer NFC/UWB System Verification (m/f/d)

Role Summary

Part-time student internship supporting the System Validation team in Gratkorn. The role maintains and extends an automated test environment and helps verify NFC and UWB systems from a customer-system perspective.

Experience Level

Entry-level / student internship. Targeted at students near the end of a Bachelor’s degree or at the beginning of a Master’s degree; suitable for candidates with limited professional experience.

Responsibilities

Work within the validation team to keep automated system tests running and to expand test coverage for NFC and UWB products.

  • Maintain and extend the NFC/UWB system test environment and test benches.
  • Develop and maintain automated test execution scripts and result reporting.
  • Collect and analyze test results; support debugging and reproducibility of failures.
  • Collaborate with engineers to integrate device features into system-level tests.
  • Perform security-aware tasks as required by certification scope, following reliable and documented procedures.

Requirements

Core technical skills and availability required for the part-time student role.

  • Proficient in Python and/or other scripting languages (must-have).
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and test management (nice-to-have).
  • Knowledge of C programming (beneficial).
  • Experience using laboratory equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer) is a plus.
  • Self-driven, proactive working style and attention to security and quality in tasks.
  • Proficient spoken and written English.
  • Availability ≈20 hours per week on average; expected duration over 6 months.

Education Requirements

Ongoing university studies (student position), ideally at the end of a Bachelor's or at the beginning of a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information and Computer Engineering, Telematics, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or a similar technical field.
