Internship – Product Engineering (ML Model Development)

Role Summary

Internship within the Product Engineering team (In‑Vehicle Networking) in Nijmegen. The intern will develop and apply machine learning and statistical data‑analysis solutions to semiconductor test and characterization data to improve product screening, quality and production readiness.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Intended for students; requires availability for a minimum six-month full‑time placement.

Responsibilities

Primary duties focus on developing ML models and data analytics for product engineering and collaborating across functions to move IC designs toward production.

• Design and implement machine learning solutions for Product Engineering workflows.
• Analyze semiconductor test and characterization data using statistical tools and data‑analysis pipelines.
• Translate analytical results into practical engineering decisions and screening rules.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver results on time and at required quality.
• Support development and evaluation of zero‑defect screening methods and production analytics.

Requirements

Skills and attributes expected from candidates.

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with data analysis or machine learning workflows.
• Experience using statistical data analysis tools and handling large measurement datasets.
• Ability to communicate analytical findings to cross‑functional technical stakeholders and apply them to engineering problems.
• Interest in semiconductor test data, production analytics, and industrial ML deployment.
• Available full‑time for at least six months.

Education Requirements

Master's student in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a closely related quantitative field. Additional coursework in Electronics and/or VLSI design is a plus. Candidates must be registered as a student for the entire internship period and meet the minimum six‑month availability requirement.
