Internship: NFC RF System Validation (m/f/d)

Role Summary

Part-time internship supporting NFC and RF system validation. The role assists the RF validation team with RF bring-ups, laboratory measurements and automated characterization of RF products.

Onsite role based in Gratkorn, Austria; roughly 15 hours per week alongside studies.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for students; suitable for candidates with limited professional experience.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day responsibilities include lab work, test execution and basic reporting.

• Support RF bring-ups and validation campaigns for NFC/RF products.
• Perform lab measurements using oscilloscope, network analyzer and spectrum analyzer.
• Operate automated measurement setups and characterize RF products.
• Produce first-level campaign and failure analysis reports.
• Execute failure analysis and document results.
• Perform soldering tasks (SMD components) as required.
• Follow security-related procedures and maintain reliable, auditable work practices.

Requirements

Key must-have skills and useful additional qualifications.

• Must-have: Basic familiarity with RF measurement devices (oscilloscope, network analyzer).
• Must-have: Solid English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Must-have: Availability for ~15 hours per week and ability to work onsite in Gratkorn.
• Must-have: Reliable, security-conscious working style (role may involve security-related tasks).
• Must-have: Manual soldering skills or willingness to perform solder tasks.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with C# or Python.
• Nice-to-have: Knowledge of NFC standards (ISO/IEC 14443, 10373-6, NFC Forum).
• Nice-to-have: PCB design experience (Altium Designer, Eagle).

Education Requirements

Ongoing studies (student status) in Information and Computer Engineering (Telematics), Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Informatics or a similar technical field; targeted at students located in the greater Graz area.

The employer states a minimum salary for the position of EUR 2,800 gross per month (full-time equivalent).
