Job Title

Internship - Analog Mixed-Signal Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

This internship supports verification of analog and mixed-signal IC designs. The intern will develop behavioral models, testbenches, and mixed-signal simulation flows to validate device- and system-level behavior and robustness across operating and corner conditions.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for current undergraduate or graduate students (junior level or above) pursuing a technical degree and seeking hands-on verification experience.

Responsibilities

The intern will work with design and verification teams to plan and execute mixed-signal verification activities.

  • Develop verification plans based on device specifications and requirements.
  • Create and maintain behavioral models using Verilog-AMS, SystemVerilog, or mixed-signal approaches.
  • Develop testbenches, simulation environments, and regression flows for mixed-signal verification.
  • Set up and execute mixed-signal simulation flows to validate device and system behavior.
  • Perform corner and operating-condition analysis to assess robustness and compliance.
  • Collaborate with designers to reproduce, debug, and document verification results.

Requirements

Key technical and administrative requirements for the role. Education-related items are listed under Education Requirements below.

  • Must-have: Familiarity or experience with Verilog-AMS and SystemVerilog and mixed-signal modeling approaches.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Must-have: Authorization requirement: candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents (green card holders), or otherwise protected individuals as defined by 8 USC 1324b(a)(3) to meet U.S. export-control access needs.
  • Preferred: Coding or scripting experience in Python, MATLAB, Tcl, or similar tools.
  • Preferred: Exposure to Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, ADE Explorer/Assembler, vManager, and Xcelium.
  • Other: Employment contingent on proof of right to work, satisfactory references, background check, and drug test where applicable.

Education Requirements

Actively pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field. Coursework in analog circuits, electronics, signal analysis, or mixed-signal fundamentals is strongly preferred. (No alternative equivalent-experience language provided.)
