Role Summary

Infineon seeks an analog/mixed-signal design intern to contribute to design, simulation, and verification of analog integrated circuits within a product development team. The role involves hands-on circuit design, lab characterization, and scripting to support design automation and data analysis.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for current students; this is a student intern position.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include hands-on design, verification, and lab work to support analog and mixed-signal IC development.

• Design, simulate, and verify analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
• Apply operational amplifier theory, perform stability analysis, and implement compensation techniques.
• Design low-power circuits (e.g., LDOs, buck converters) focused on energy efficiency and performance.
• Perform silicon characterization and debugging to verify performance against specifications.
• Develop and use scripts (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell) to automate workflows and analyze data.
• Participate in design reviews, team discussions, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

Required technical skills and attributes for successful performance in this internship.

• Proficiency in analog IC design and operational amplifier theory.
• Experience or familiarity with low-power circuit design (LDOs, buck converters).
• Ability to perform silicon characterization and debug in a lab environment.
• Practical scripting skills in one or more of: Python, Perl, TCL, Shell to automate tasks and analyze results.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
