Internship - Analog Mixed-Signal Design
Role Summary
This is an intern position on an analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design team based in San Jose. The intern will contribute to circuit design, simulation, verification and silicon characterization for low-power and power-management mixed-signal products.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship intended for current graduate students (internship / student role).
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Contribute to design, simulation and verification of analog and mixed-signal ICs.
- Design operational amplifiers, perform stability analysis and implement compensation techniques.
- Design low-power circuits such as LDOs and buck converters to meet energy and performance targets.
- Perform silicon characterization and lab debugging to verify device performance against specifications.
- Automate design workflows and data analysis using scripting (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with the project team.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Proficiency in analog IC design, operational amplifier theory, and low-power design principles.
- Familiarity with scripting for automation and data analysis (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
- Ability to perform lab-based silicon characterization and debugging.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
