Role Summary

Hands-on internship within an analog/mixed-signal IC design team focused on design, simulation, verification, and silicon characterization of power and analog circuits. The intern will support design projects such as op-amps, LDOs, and buck converters and contribute to lab validation and automation of workflows.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Role intended for current graduate students; no specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities for this internship include:

• Contribute to design, simulation, and verification of analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
• Apply operational amplifier theory, perform stability analysis, and implement compensation techniques.
• Design and optimize low-power circuits such as LDOs and buck converters for energy efficiency.
• Perform silicon characterization and debug to verify performance against specifications.
• Use scripting (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell) to automate design flows and data analysis.
• Participate in team activities including design reviews and technical discussions.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes for successful performance:

• Proficiency in analog IC design, including operational amplifier theory and low-power design principles.
• Familiarity with scripting languages for automation (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
• Experience or aptitude for silicon characterization and lab debugging.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
