Role Summary
Infineon seeks an intern to support analog and mixed-signal IC design projects, contributing to design, simulation, verification, and silicon characterization on real product workstreams. The role is part of an engineering team focused on power- and low‑power analog circuits.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship for current graduate students; no prior years-of-experience required beyond enrollment in a relevant degree program.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include hands-on design, verification, and lab work alongside engineering teams.
- Contribute to analog and mixed-signal IC design, simulation, and verification.
- Design and analyze operational amplifiers, including stability and compensation.
- Develop low-power circuits (e.g., LDOs, buck converters) with attention to efficiency.
- Perform silicon characterization and debug to verify performance against specifications.
- Automate workflows and data analysis using scripting (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
- Participate in design reviews and team collaboration activities.
Requirements

- Proficiency in analog IC design and operational amplifier theory.
- Experience or coursework in low-power circuit design principles.
- Familiarity with scripting for automation and data analysis (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
- Hands-on lab skills or coursework that demonstrate ability to characterize and debug silicon.
- Strong communication, eagerness to learn, and ability to work in a team.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field (student/intern status required). Related technical undergraduate degrees and equivalent practical experience in electrical/analog/mixed-signal fields are relevant.
