Job Title

Internship - Analog Mixed-Signal Design

Role Summary

Internship on an analog/mixed-signal IC design team working on op-amps, low-power regulators, and silicon characterization. You will contribute to circuit design, simulation, verification and lab debug while collaborating with engineers on project deliverables.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Intended for current graduate students or early-career candidates.

Responsibilities

Primary technical responsibilities for this internship include:

  • Contribute to analog and mixed-signal IC design, simulation, and verification.
  • Design and analyze operational amplifiers, including stability and compensation techniques.
  • Develop low-power circuits such as LDOs and buck converters to meet efficiency targets.
  • Perform silicon lab characterization and debug to verify performance against specifications.
  • Automate workflows and data analysis using scripting (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
  • Participate in design reviews and team collaboration activities.

Requirements

Key skills and attributes expected from applicants.

  • Must-have: Proficiency in analog IC design, operational amplifier theory, and low-power design principles.
  • Must-have: Experience with circuit simulation and verification tools (analog/mixed-signal CAD workflow).
  • Must-have: Scripting ability for automation and data analysis (Python, TCL, Shell, or similar).
  • Nice-to-have: Prior hands-on experience with silicon bring-up, lab measurement equipment, or power-management ICs.
  • Nice-to-have: Strong communication, adaptability, and teamwork skills.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field (graduate student status required for the internship).
