Intern - Test Solutions, NVM
Role Summary
Intern on the Non-Volatile Memory Test Engineering team working on AI-driven test engineering automation and analytics for NAND products. The role provides hands-on exposure to wafer probe, burn-in, and assembly test solutions in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
You will collaborate with test engineers and cross-functional teams to develop data analytics, machine learning, scripting, and automation solutions that improve test quality, engineering productivity, and decision-making.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Intern). Intended for current undergraduate or masters students; typically 02 years of professional experience. Full-time internship for 46 months.
Responsibilities
Typical project and deliverable responsibilities:
- Develop data analytics and AI-enabled workflows for NAND test engineering.
- Automate engineering analyses and validation workflows to reduce manual effort and cycle time.
- Design and implement automation for test-result analysis, wafer tracking, yield correlation, and test-program validation.
- Build dashboards and visualization tools to surface actionable insights from large-scale manufacturing and test datasets.
- Apply scripting and software development to improve test infrastructure and code reusability.
- Explore and evaluate machine learning algorithms for predictive analysis of test performance and manufacturing trends.
- Produce technical documentation, a reporting framework, and a final project presentation summarizing results and recommendations.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Data Science teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes; education requirements are listed separately below.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and structured-thinking skills.
- Familiarity with programming: Python, C, C++, Java, SQL, or similar languages.
- Understanding of statistics, algorithms, data structures, and software development fundamentals.
- Familiarity with data analytics, machine learning, or AI-enabled workflows.
- Ability to work independently on a defined project and collaborate with engineering teams.
- Good communication and documentation skills to produce deliverables and presentations.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Python libraries such as Pandas and NumPy and visualization tools.
- Familiarity with Git, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Knowledge of semiconductor devices, memory technologies, manufacturing processes, or test engineering concepts.
- Experience with AI assistants or software automation platforms.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Semiconductor Engineering, Mechatronics, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field. Enrollment during the internship period and the ability to commit to a full-time 46 month internship are expected.
