Role Summary

Internship within Test Solutions Engineering (TSE) focused on developing AI-enabled automation and tooling to streamline semiconductor test engineering workflows. The role emphasizes Python development, evaluation of Generative AI/LLMs, and building reusable automation components.

Full-time internship expected for at least 5 months (Jan to May/Jun 2027).

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for students or early-career candidates; no specific years of professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Contribute to project-based initiatives that prototype and deliver AI-enabled automation solutions for test engineering.

• Develop Python-based automation tools and modules to improve engineering efficiency.
• Investigate and prototype Generative AI, LLMs, AI assistants, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent frameworks for engineering workflows.
• Create reusable components, integrations, and analytics capabilities to support broader automation efforts.
• Document project outcomes, produce technical evaluations, and present findings to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and follow software development practices (version control, APIs, testing).

Requirements

Must-have skills and preferred qualifications for the internship.

• Must-have: Hands-on Python programming experience via academic, personal, research, or project work.
• Must-have: Strong analytical problem-solving and clear technical communication skills.
• Must-have: Familiarity with software development fundamentals such as APIs and version control.
• Must-have: Ability to work independently on assignments and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Nice-to-have: Interest or experience with Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, AI assistants, or agentic AI frameworks.
• Nice-to-have: Experience building prototypes, integrations, or performing performance analysis of automation tools.

Education Requirements

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in any discipline (undergraduate students). No specific field-of-study or certifications required.
