Intern, System IP Engineering

Role Summary

Join the Budapest System IP team to contribute to the design and verification of System IP components used in client, embedded and IoT devices. Work on RTL verification, formal bring-up and collaborate with design, performance modelling, validation and implementation teams to meet functional, performance, power and area goals.

Internship duration approximately 6 months (full-time or part-time), starting in 2027. Compensation: HUF 5,250,000 per year.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current students or recent learners with minimal professional experience; typical 0–1 years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities during the internship include verification, debugging and cross-team collaboration to bring IP blocks to required quality levels.

  • Develop and execute SystemVerilog/UVM RTL verification and debug tests.
  • Perform formal bring-up and verification of non-trivial IP blocks.
  • Collaborate with design, performance modelling, validation and implementation teams to meet functional and performance goals.
  • Create and maintain scripts and automation to support verification (e.g., Python, Perl).
  • Document results, report issues and participate in design reviews and team meetings.

  • Must-have: Right to work in Hungary for the full duration of the internship; Arm cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role.
  • Must-have: Ability to commit to an approximately 6-month internship starting in 2027 (full-time or part-time).
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with block-level RTL design and verification for ASIC or FPGA developments; SystemVerilog preferred.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with AMBA or other bus protocols.
  • Nice-to-have: Understanding of digital design topics such as CPU/GPU/cache, memory and I/O.
  • Nice-to-have: Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or similar) and basic automation skills.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical field. Arm internships require candidates to be enrolled in higher education and to return to their course after the internship. No certifications specified; no mention of acceptable equivalent experience beyond enrollment requirement.
