Role Summary

Work on testsuites and timing validation for front-end, back-end and signoff Cadence tools (Genus, Innovus, Tempus). The role supports test maintenance, development of regression tests, and verification of STA results.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Intended for current students and early-career candidates.

Responsibilities

Typical duties include reviewing and maintaining testsuites and validating timing analysis:

• Assist with regular review and maintenance of Genus/Innovus/Tempus testsuites (front-end, back-end, signoff).
• Develop and extend testsuites to ensure Static Timing Analysis (STA) quality.
• Verify timing analysis results and raise file-change requests or bug reports when issues are found.

Requirements

Core and preferred qualifications; degree enrollment is listed under Education Requirements.

• Must-have: Good teamwork, written and verbal communication, responsibility and patience.
• Preferred: Linux experience and scripting with TCL, Perl, or shell.
• Preferred: Static timing analysis (STA) and place-and-route (P&R) timing knowledge; familiarity with Genus/Innovus/Tempus is a plus.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Master's (MS) program (candidate should be an MS student). No other degrees, fields of study, certifications, or equivalent-experience language were specified.
