Job Title

Intern - Process Integration Engineer

Role Summary

Six-month, full-time internship on the Process Integration team supporting advanced DRAM technology and manufacturing. The role provides hands-on work in process integration, data analysis, yield improvement, and cross-functional engineering support.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Intended for students or early-career candidates; practical, hands-on engineering work over a 6-month period.

Responsibilities

Work with Process Integration and cross-functional teams to analyze data, support experiments, and improve manufacturing performance.

  • Support integration and optimization of semiconductor process modules across the DRAM manufacturing flow.
  • Analyze electrical, inline, process, and yield data to identify performance gaps, yield detractors, and process anomalies.
  • Apply statistical analysis and engineering problem-solving methodologies to investigate technical issues.
  • Partner with Process Engineering, Yield Engineering, Device, Technology Development, and other teams to drive improvements.
  • Use data analytics, visualization, automation, and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency.
  • Support experiments and analyze relationships between process conditions, device performance, and yield.
  • Develop dashboards, analytical methods, or tools to aid engineering decision-making.
  • Document technical findings and communicate results and recommendations to teams and leadership.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes for successful contribution during the internship.

  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Fundamental understanding of semiconductor devices, processing, or manufacturing.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis and the ability to draw engineering conclusions from technical data.
  • Strong communication skills, teamwork, and self-motivation.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of semiconductor fabrication and DRAM process flows.
  • Familiarity with device concepts (CMOS, capacitor fundamentals).
  • Experience with SPC, DOE, correlation or yield analysis methods.
  • Experience using JMP, Excel, Python, scripting, automation, dashboards, data visualization, or AI tools.
  • Previous semiconductor industry, research, laboratory, or process-engineering experience.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
